Frosch protects frogs

Simply put: wherever the tree frog croaks and thrives, nature is intact. Werner & Mertz has had the frog in its logo for more than 100 years. Our mascot inspires us to act as an advocate for sound ecological management. Since 1999 we have worked with NABU in Rhineland-Palatinate on the cooperative effort known as "Frosch protects frogs".

Joint success since 1999:
Frosch and NABU work for the preservation of nature.

A project that began right at our doorstep in the Rhine floodplain has since moved into international circles. With the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) we are working to protect riverine environments in several European countries.

Mürmes

The bog conservation project in the Mürmes marshes in the Eifel is a cooperative environmental protection effort with a dual purpose. Werner & Mertz works to protect biodiversity and the climate.

Rhine Floodplain

Riparian forests bordering rivers are among the most diverse natural habitats. Because they are threatened throughout Europe, Werner & Mertz supports the NABU project for new forests in the Rhine floodplain near Ingelheim.
